So out of the now 20 places I have given a resume to, only one has contacted me so far. And I had an interview, but have not heard back from them yet. My fingers are crossed, but every time the phone rings and it’s not them, I get more and more discouraged at the fact that I probably won’t be employed all summer and therefore will be bored out of my mind, and poor. I am trying to stay positive, but it’s hard when you’ve done everything you can do, and still there’s no response. I know it’s up to the universe now, but it’s not being very gentle on me.
In other news, good news.. My group has been chosen from my packaging class to represent Durham College at the packaging competition in a couple weeks. Our redesign for Duracell C batteries will be presented to a panel of judges from Procter & Gamble, Walmart Canada, and the Packaging Association of Canada. So it’s kind of a big deal. And I’m really excited about it. And if (when) we win the grand prize, that will make me happy.
This is what I did today. The words on the jar aren’t as neat as I would’ve liked for them to be, but hey, I was just trying something out. The paper flowers are kind of my favourite part.
